Private Underground Shelters by KMK Group are compact, waterproof underground spaces designed to support everyday needs while providing protection from natural and wartime threats and their consequences, including tornadoes, hurricanes, structural collapse, debris, blast effects, and shock waves.
The shelters feature an airtight structure made from the unique PANELTIM polypropylene material (Belgium), equipped with an integrated supply and exhaust ventilation system, with the option to install forced ventilation. They can be customized for specific requirements and connected together to form larger shelter complexes.
The shelter structure is made of PANELTIM polypropylene panels — a premium-grade construction material designed for creating durable structures without additional reinforcement. The structural material consists of a polypropylene copolymer (PPCO) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The panel thickness is 50 mm.
Shelter cover options are available in both polypropylene and metal versions.

The structure of the private underground shelter is made from ultra-durable PANELTIM polypropylene sandwich panels. It is resistant to mechanical stress and moisture and comes with a service life of over 50 years.

We tested the shelter under realistic conditions without concrete reinforcement or full underground installation. During the first test, the company’s director remained inside the shelter to personally experience and demonstrate the reliability of the structure.
Yes. Real-world testing was conducted at a testing ground, with the company director inside the shelter during the trials.
The following were used:
1. A charge equivalent to 2 kg of TNT at a distance of 1.7 m.
2. An RPO-A “Shmel” thermobaric warhead (equivalent to a 152 mm artillery shell) at a distance of 1.1 m.
3. A charge equivalent to 4 kg of TNT at a distance of 5 m.
The shelter, installed underground, remained intact and undamaged.
Concrete reinforcement is not mandatory (it is only required in areas with a high groundwater level).
However, we recommend additional concrete reinforcement to further enhance the level of protection.
For example, to improve resistance against a direct strike from an unmanned aerial vehicle with a warhead (such as a Shahed drone), the following additional concrete reinforcement is recommended:
Above the shelter: 45 cm of concrete (15 cm + 30 cm applied in two stages)
Walls: 40 cm concrete thickness
These measures provide an additional layer of protection in high-risk environments.
The standard shelter configuration includes a single entrance/exit. However, the shelter can be customized and upgraded to meet individual customer requirements, including:

* Extra sleeping accommodations
* Additional storage shelves for food and supplies
* Extra electrical outlets
* A drinking water storage tank
* And other custom features as required
This modular approach allows the shelter to be tailored to your specific needs.
No, our shelters are certified and meet the requirements for the simplest private shelters, and therefore can be installed on your site without obtaining additional permits.
